
Special Effects Makeup FASH 9236
Our Special Effects Makeup course explores SFX makeup while focusing on detailed character development. Study prosthetic formulation techniques that allow you to create a variety of characters and effects as you progress through all the phases of project conceptualization and prosthetic application. Learn airbrush techniques applicable to prosthetic pieces and creature effects, and learn to apply bald caps using a variety of application techniques. Finally, bring all of your skills together to design and create a fully developed character for your end-of-course photo shoot. Professionalism, etiquette, personal appearance, communication, and sanitation standards are integral parts of this course.
Prerequisites
You must have completed our FASH 9230 Makeup 3: Film and Television course or you must provide proof of both a practical background and a theoretical background in makeup (for example, through a record of education and/or employment). If you have not met the prerequisite requirement by the first class, you will be withdrawn from the course.
