
Part 9 The House Health and Safety: Independent Study BLDG 9264
Our Part 9 The House Health and Safety course is a detailed technical course. This building code course deals with examination of plans and inspection of health and safety aspects of the house as found in the Ontario Building Code. The curriculum covers fire safety and protection; chimneys, fireplaces, inserts, and solid-fuel-burning appliances; stairs; guards; insulation; health and comfort requirements; party walls; and final interior and exterior inspections.
Prerequisites
You must have a general understanding of the building construction process and basic blueprint reading skills and you must have completed our BLDG 9245 Part 9 The House Building Envelope: Virtual Classroom course or our BLDG 9265 Part 9 The House Building Envelope: Independent Study course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
